Accommodation: Steading Cottage offers spacious yet cosy selfcatering holiday accommodation.
This two bedroom cottage is very comfortable, offering more than you might expect from typical holiday accommodation.
The property has gravelled parking leading to the frontdoor, a spacious hall takes you to the accommodation, which is all on one level. The vast living area extends to some thirty four foot, with a cosy two sofa t.v around the wood burner at one end, and a bright spacious dining area at the other end, with double doors that can be flung open so that you can enjoy the magnificent views up towards the mountains. The fully equipped kitchen is equipped with a fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. The picnic basket, thermos and rugs are ready for you to head towards the hill! or stay closer to home and have a barbeque in the garden.
Two bedrooms for sleeping accommodation, one of which has a double bed, a wardrobe and wash hand basin, the other is a large twin bedded room with a large hanging cupboard and views to the west of the property. The owners believe that it is the little touches that matter - and the welcome back provides basics as well as some luxuries.
There is a t.v, dvd and cd player and a wide range of cds, dvds, books and board games for children and adults to enjoy.
There is possibly no better place in Scotland than Perthshire that provides such an extensive and concentrated range of golf courses - this is a golfers paradise and a terrific playground for all out-door pursuits.
Short holiday breaks are available in low season for two or three nights at weekends or four nights midweek.
Location: Crieff is just over an hour form Glasgow and Edinburgh airports, about 25 minutes to Stirling and Perth, 10 minutes to Gleneagles, Auchterarder or Comrie - the cottage
is situated right in the heart of Perthshire within easy reach of culture and activities. Much closer to home, Crieff offers: Drummond Castle Gardens, Scotladn's oldest Distillery, riding, fishing, a swimming pool - which you can walk to from the cottage, tennis courts and watersports close by.
The cottage is hideen away down a tree lined driveway half a mile long. You can walk to the swimmingpool or into Crieff - it is only a mile and a half
and there are numerous restaurants and pubs and a great delicatessen.

Pavilion Cottage, Garlieston House, Garlieston, Newton Stewart, Dumfries and Galloway
Accommodation: Pavilion Cottage is a cosy detached cottage within the walled garden of Garlieston House on the Galloway House Estate, former home to the Earls of Galloway. A spacious, sunny garden room, with double doors opening onto a private lawn provides full length window seating and a large dining area. The living room is equipped with a wood burning stove, sofa bed , TV/video and stereo. An open staircase leads to a galleried landing giving access to two cosy loft rooms with single beds in the eaves. One of the two ground floor bedrooms has a double bed, the other a single with comfortable pull out for twin or double and with direct access to the garden. The kitchen is fitted with fridge-freezer, Rayburn stove, combination microwave/convection oven/grill, electric kettle and coffee maker and two ring electric hob. In the bathroom is a bath with shower over, WC and washbasin. The building has underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. Telephone, internet and fax facilities are available. All linen, bath towels, tea towels and duvets are provided. Travel cot and high chair are available. Garden furniture and barbeque also available, and bicycles may be available on request. The washing machine is in an adjacent outbuilding, with nearby drying area. There is also a wet room with wash basin, shower and loo adjacent to the swimming pool, which Pavilion Cottage guests are welcome to use.
The walled garden offers a large lawned area with mature shrubs and trees, herbaceous borders, and an open air swimming pool. Beyond the walled garden is a woodland and kitchen garden, an orchard and a paddock with rare breed sheep, Indian runner ducks and hens. Nearby Rigg Bay has a safe secluded sandy beach within a 5-minute walk, and Galloway House Gardens, which surround the property, are open to the public between March and October.
Location: Garlieston is a pretty harbour village on the southern most peninsula of Wigtownshire in Dumfries and Galloway. From Rigg Bay you can see the hills of the Lake District on a clear day. The cottage is a good base for enjoying the stunning scenery and wildlife Galloway has to offer.
It is a fabulous place for outdoor activities including walking, cycling, fishing, tennis, bowling, horseriding, falconry, tank driving, windsurfing, to name a few. There are many sites of historical and nautural interest, as well as a book town with 19 bookshops catring for all ages and interests. Children and adults enjoy watching the young animals on the smallholding at Garlieston House especially during the spring and summer.
