Spending New Year in an idyllic cottage in the countryside is a great
way to get-away from it all and relax after the busy Christmas holiday.
Many towns have ancient traditions and festivals - often involving
fire as a historic way to welcome in the new year. Scotland is a major
destination for New Year - or Hogmany as new year is called in Scotland
- and Edinburgh's festivities on New Year's Eve are spectacular!
Finding a remote highland cottage to rent for New Year is difficult if
